In an article at Thrillist.com, Minnesota's food & drink scene was ranked 23rd among the fifty states -- fueled mainly by our craft beer explosion and the Juicy Lucy. California, Texas, and New York took the top three spots -- followed by Louisiana (4) and Illinois (5).

California's first place finish was due largely to their 100 varieties of wine, and 80,000 farms that produce more than half of the produce consumed in the country.

Among the bland & the boring you will find Delaware (46), Iowa (47), Utah (48), North Dakota (49), and South Dakota (50). Although Minnesota's #23 ranking isn't all that impressive, it's a heck of a lot better than some of these neighbors.

Wisconsin (22) came in one spot ahead on Minnesota -- thanks to it's vast array of beer, cheese, and sausage.
