ST. CLOUD -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to some traffic changes along the I-94 resurfacing project between St. Cloud and Collegeville.

The on-and-off ramps along westbound I-94 at Stearns County Road 2 in St. Joseph will be closed until further notice no later than tomorrow (Friday).

Also starting tomorrow, all lanes of westbound I-94 at Highway 15 will open permanently. However, two ramps remain closed at the I-94/Highway 15 interchange. The ramp from northbound Highway 15 to westbound I-94, and the ramp from I-94 west to Highway 15 south remain closed until further notice.

I-94 will remain a single lane in each direction between Highway 23 near St. Cloud and Collegeville until further notice.

MnDOT says major delays are being reported through the construction zone on weekends and recreational rush hours. Delays of up to an hour are common on Friday afternoons on westbound I-94 and along eastbound I-94 on Sundays.

The construction project is expected to be completed sometime late fall.
