ST. CLOUD -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation has released the Road Safety Audit report for the Highway 23 corridor between Foley and Milaca.

The report is available online ahead of a public meeting Monday in Foley to discuss the findings. The RSA is a formal safety study of the roadway to identify potential road safety issues and identifies safety improvement opportunities.

MnDOT called for the study after an increase in fatal crashes east of Foley in 2016 and 2017.

Some of the findings include adding left turn lanes, centerline buffers, rumblestrips and roundabouts as a transition from rural to urban sections.

To learn more about the safety audit, you are encouraged to attend the meeting Monday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Foley City Hall.
