My Day At Minnesota Twins Fantasy Camp

103.7 The Loon doesn't carry the Minnesota Twins games, but our sister station 1240 WJON does -- and that was my ticket (along with my brother-in-law) into the Twins' Radio Affiliates Fantasy Camp yesterday at Target Field; and it was all kinds of awesome!

Our group started the day in the Target Field bullpen pitching with tips from Jack Morris. We hit balls at home plate getting coached up by Tim Launder, chased down fly balls in the outfield, worked the infield -- shagging balls from the group that was hitting, and then caught a tour with the curator on Twins memorabilia.

I can't even begin to explain how cool it was to be hitting balls at home plate at Target Field. I could have chased down fly balls in the outfield all day. I felt like the kid outside playing all day -- finally getting called in for dinner by mom -- not wanting to come in.

When it was all over the Twins fed us lunch and sent us on our way.

I had intended to take lots of pics & video, but ended up be too busy having fun. The Twins staff however took a ton of pictures, and will be sharing them with us shortly.
