Best club/venue experience I've ever had.

Shows I saw there: Rob Zombie, Collective Soul, Queensryche, The Cult, The Scorpions, Bret Michaels (VIP new years eve!), Kid Rock and also a couple of boxing cards.

The place was perfectly laid out. The sound and lighting was amazing. The staff and security were spot-on pros.

Even the bathrooms blew you away (one particularly sordid/awesome memory is standing at the urinal, and having an amazingly cute, female, janitor-type coming through the men's room, checking garbage, wiping down sinks and mirros - all while a bunch of guys were using the facilities: she acted like it was nothing. Hot!)

I guess the only complaint one could have was that parking wasn't 100% adequate (I didn't mind, though, I'm a Toys R' Us Kid!).

Then it went away.

Myth Nightclub in Maplewood closed in summer of 2009 amid financial troubles and quarreling investors.

But a recet article in the Pioneer Press says it's under new ownership and will be back open soon (no exact date yet).

This is amazing news. The past couple of years I've looked at so many acts and said to myself how great would they be in "Myth"?

Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Bob Dylan, REO, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden...it would also be ideal for the newer groups like Cage The Elephant and Black Keys.

The article is even saying they'll expand parking.

No matter, I'll still park in the "Toys R' Us" lot.
