NBC is firing back at those that criticized their coverage and handling of the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. Here's what they had to say for themselves.

Yesterday, I mentioned how mad I was that NBC cut away from their Closing Ceremony coverage Sunday night to air a sneak preview of their new fall program, Animal Practice and in the process set social media sites like Facebook and Twitter ablaze as viewers expressed their anger over them preempting rock legends such as The Who and The Kinks to air some piece of crap show that didn't even manage to draw a smirk from me. Anyone who knows me knows I love animals and I also love laughing. Laughing is my favorite, but I won't tune in to that show. Not just because NBC made me mad, but because it doesn't look funny.

NBC says that they were looking to capitalize on the huge audience that they had at the time so they could introduce them to the show and hopefully count on them tuning in for the series premiere. Problem is, we are NOT a captive audience and if you listened hard enough, you could probably hear channels changing all over the country and if my TV weren't so expensive, I would have pulled an Elvis and shot it.

NBC did return to the Closing Ceremony after that piece of crap show and the late local "news" so if you did manage to stay up, you got to see the performances. All of this could have been avoided if NBC had just aired the Closing Ceremony live Sunday afternoon as it was happening in London, but NOOOOOOOOOOO.

NBC = Nothing But Crap.
