Crazy Horse guitarist Frank 'Poncho' Sampedro's broken hand is to blame for the four additional tour dates cancelled on Neil Young's itinerary. Today the group announced they're pulling out of all shows through Sept. 7.

Doctors say Sampedro's hand needs more time to heal after having suffered a mild fracture. Scrapped are an Aug. 31 show in Dundas, Ont., a Sept. 2 show in Port Chester, N.Y., a Sept. 4 date in Ottawa, Ont. and the appearance at the Lock'n Festival in Arrington, Va.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the Festivals where we were scheduled to appear," the band said in a statement. "As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events." Fans of Neil Young and Crazy Horse may recall this is the same exact statement the band gave after canceling their European dates earlier this month.

The next scheduled show for the group is on Sept. 21 at Farm Aid in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
