2011 has been a big year for my boy Bob.

Full scale tour, new single, finally releasing stuff on iTunes, reportedly working on a new album and now a new greatest hits packakge is on the way.

Ultimate Hits: Rock And Roll Never Forgets is scheduled to be released November 21st.

It will be a double disc collection of fully remastered tracks ranging all the way from 1969's "Ramblin Gamblin Man" (when there was no Silver Bullet Band: they were then The Bob Seger System) to his amazing cover of the holiday classic "The Little Drummer Boy" to his latest single, "Downtown Train".

As great an artist as he is, Seger and the word "prolific" have never really gone hand in hand, regarding either touring or recording so this is indeed a special time for Seger fans.

Seger & The Silver Bullet Band kick off their 23-date fall/winter tour on November 2nd in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and will wind things down on December 30th in Las Vegas.
