This is like looking for oil because The Allman Brothers had to drill deep into the archives for two double - live albums that are out today (February 12th,2013).

This gift of music is on their own record label and available on CD and MP3.

One of the 'live' performances are from the shows out at the Macon City Auditorium on February 11th,1972 four months after the death of co-founder and lead guitarist Duane Allman had died (motorcycle accident in Macon,Ga.).

The second 'live' performance from Nassau Coliseum in New York May 1st, 1973 just after the death of Berry Oakley (bass) who also died of a motorcycle accident in November of 1972 (which incidentally happened in Macon,Ga. a few blocks from where Duane was killed a year earlier).

As a bonus The Allman Brothers performance at The Filmore East, which has a great history (released in 1971) will be reissued on February 19th, 2013 and formatted for LP Vinyl.

The attached video features Duane Allman on guitar from 1970 performing, "Whipping Post."
