Over 3 Decades in Radio and I Still Kind of Like It
Radio has changed quite a bit since my start in the mid 1980s. Some of the change good and some not so good. I remember my parents telling people I was in prison, so they didn't have to admit I was in radio. It never failed that when I came home for holidays, somehow the question "When are you going to get a real job?" would always pop up. They were missing the point. I did not want a real job. I wanted a job that was different. During my years in the business, I've had many opportunities to meet famous people and most of my favorite musicians. I interviewed rock stars, movie and TV stars, hosted bikini contests and much more under the guise of working. Can't beat that. So, for the meantime I will hang with radio.
