ST. CLOUD - A record shattering 4.08 inches of rain officially fell at the St. Cloud Regional Airport last (Monday) night.  That sets a new record for the date.  The previous record was 2.03 set back in 2014.

Yesterday was the fifth wettest single day on record ever for St. Cloud.

We're now nearly five inches above normal for rainfall for the month of August.  And, we're about seven-and-a-half inches above normal for the year so far.

Meanwhile, The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for northeastern Benton County and southern Mille Lacs County last (Monday) night.

MnDOT says Highway 23 in Foley had to be shut down and detour for a period last night during the heaviest of the rain.
