Ozzy Osbourne’s Mansion Suffers Over $500,000 in Flood Damage

One of the wettest winters in Britain’s history has left Ozzy Osbourne temporarily down one mansion.

The Mirror reports that Osbourne’s Buckinghamshire home, located on a seven-acre estate, had the misfortune of being built in one of the most heavily affected areas of the country — and now needs more than half a million dollars in repairs.

The article quotes Ozzy’s wife Sharon as calling the building “destroyed,” while Ozzy added a few more details, saying, “It’s been completely flooded. The rain has battered down the walls and seeped through everything. There is water everywhere. We’ve been told it’s going to cost £300,000 to repair but we can’t even go about getting it fixed because apparently it’s going to take nine months to dry out. The place is ruined. If it’s not one thing, it’s the other.”

As the Mirror’s report points out, the Osbournes have suffered no shortage of bad luck in Buckinghamshire, including Ozzy’s 2003 ATV accident, a pair of fires, and a burglary that ended with the thief absconding with jewelery (some of which was later returned) by jumping out a window after being tackled by the Prince of Darkness.

Fortunately, the Osbournes’ soggy estate isn’t their only home. According to the Mirror, they’ll be staying in their “Los Angeles pile” — where Ozzy suffered minor damage during a small fire in January 2013 — while waiting for things to dry out overseas.
