Paul McCartney Performing at The Grammys

An official announcement from the Grammy people says that Sir Paul is on board for the ceremony next month! 

Sir Paul McCartney is set to take the stage at the annual Grammy Awards Ceremony broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS Sunday, February 12.

Paul is not only a performer, he is also a nominee. His album, Band On The Run: Paul McCartney Archive Collection Deluxe Edition is up for Best Historical Album and he is also being honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year for not only his musical talent, but his efforts with non-profit organizations and charitable contributions.

There are also rumors that Paul may be performing at this year's Olympics. In an interview with the U.K. Sun, he is meeting with Olympic officials very soon to iron out the details. He isn't exactly sure what his role will be at the games, but speculation has run rampant that he will be taking part in the opening ceremonies.

The London 2012 Olympics run from July 27 through August 12.
