The kneeling for the National Anthem was started by Wisconsin native, Colin Kaepernick while he was the QB for the 49ers.  Some people are in much support over the protest, while others are saying that this shouldn't happen while on the field before a game.  This controversy has been going on for awhile to bring attention against police brutality.

This weekend Nike announced that  Kaepernick would be one of the faces for their 30th anniversary ad. The ad has just his face and the phrase "Believe in something.  Even if it means sacrificing everything".

People started protesting by either cutting up their Nike socks, or burning their shoes.  This is just so dumb.  First of all, it doesn't hurt Nike,  They already have your money.  If you aren't going to continue to purchase them. well so be it.  They probably still won't be affected too terribly much.  There was another post on social media saying "Just Don't".  Of course, this is to go the opposite direction of the "Just Do It" slogan.

What are your thoughts?
