Pete’s 30-Day Sugar-Free Challenge: Day 7
Today's day-7 of my 30-day 'Sugar-Free Challenge' (no sugar, no sweeteners, no simple, starchy carbs, no alcohol) following my viewing of the movie 'Fed Up' Saturday. One week in, I have already noticed some effects (expected & unexpected) from the diet change; and they're all good.
Here's what I have noticed so far:
- Four pounds of weight loss.
- More energy, alertness, creativity.
- Lessened desire/need for coffee.
- Less trash & recycling.
- Better quality, deeper sleep.
- Money savings on food expenses.
Now don't get me wrong; a beer, fries, and a frosty beer sound really, really good -- but if you'd offer it to me I'd decline. This has been going so well that I'm too intrigued to quit.
