Robert Plant fires back at Alice Cooper for talkin' smack.

Robert Plant is apparently none too pleased with Alice Cooper's remarks about the direction of Plant's music.

Plant, in an interview with the UK's "Observer" says that his current musical direction is where his journey as a musician is taking him. He goes on to add, "If you're a singer, you can never say this is where the voyage ends, the job is never done. Once you have got it, you cannot sit on it. I have to try and change the landscape, whatever it is."

Right now, Plant's "current musical direction" is leading him straight to LA where he is nominated for two Grammys for his latest release with Band of Joy. Those will be handed out February 13.
