One band member says he is ready and is just waiting on go from the other. To say I'm excited would be the understatement of the year.

Pete Townshend says he is ready to launch a Quadrophenia tour in 2012 and is just waiting for Roger Daltrey to get on board.

Townshend told Classic Rock Magazine that he has been ready since 2010 when they played it at the Royal Albert Hall. He is currently working on his own stuff and his own band and it has been a real eye opener for him. He says that once Daltrey is, "fed up with being the boss" he can "come and work with tricky old me again in the old school band." Daltrey recently completed a tour in which he played the Tommy album in its entirety.

A deluxe reissue of Quadrophenia is on its way as well. Townshend says that it has been a labor of love restoring the tracks and redoing the liner notes for the record. For the serious collector, Townshend says they're going to want to pick up the heavy vinyl version. The remastered album will be available sometime next year.
