The Freddie Mercury biopic may be in trouble, but the traveling musical production that bears his band's name is off and running and preparing to take North America by storm.

The Queen musical We Will Rock You has been a hit in Europe, but now it's coming across the pond to launch a North American tour.

The show opened in London ten years ago, but has never played in America, so organizers are planning to hit 24 cities, but more could be added if it's successful.

The show is inspired by the music of Queen with Brian May and Roger Taylor serving as musical supervisors as well as helping out the casting department. It's set in the future and tells the tale of a global society where musical instruments are banned, individuality is not allowed and all music is generated by computers. Sound familiar? The evil overlords are allowed to reign for only so long before a group of rebels rediscover rock music and take over in a fight to break free of conformity.

We Will Rock You will play at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis November 19-24.
