Queen fans looking for the band's classic albums on vinyl are in luck. On Sept. 25, the group will release The Studio Collection, an 18-LP box set containing all 15 of their studio albums.

As you can see in the above trailer, the records come on colored vinyl with a different color that corresponds to each album's individual artwork. The Miracle, for example, is in sky blue, and the soundtrack to Flash Gordon is the color of yellow mustard.

Queen II, which included a "Side White" and "Side Black" on its original 1974 release, is presented as a double album, with music on one side and a custom etching on the other. Two of the albums, Innuendo and Made in Heaven, were edited from their CD configurations to fit on single records at the time. For this new collection, Queen have expanded both LPs to two albums.

According to the band's website, the mastering was done by noted engineer Bob Ludwig, who discovered that the original analog mixes had shown some degradation over the years. So he created new digital masters, which were used to cut the 180-gram vinyl, a process done at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios.

The LPs will be packaged along with a 108-page hardcover book, which contains information about each album, as well as rare photos and memorabilia. To coincide with the release of The Studio Collection, Rega, a manufacturer of high-end audio equipment, are issuing a special turntable, complete with Queen's logos on the platter, plinth and dust-cover lid.
