KIMBALL -- Through muddy terrain and over high walls, racers from all over are gearing up to get dirty at this years Mudman 5K in Kimball.

The three mile course scales the hills of Powder Ridge with different challenges awaiting around every corner.

Mudman CEO Bill Corcoran says they try to keep some of the same obstacles but throw in a few new twists every year.

"We try and vary it a little bit so there is some surprises, but we try to hold a little bit to the same course so people can compare their times from last year," says Corcoran.

The course consists of roughly 15-17 obstacles including Muddy Monkey's, Web Crawl and the Mud Slide. They are even bringing back the ice bath.

Corcoran says you don't have to be a top athlete to run and have fun.

"Fun for someone might be I'm gonna run as fast as I can, some of others may be I'm gonna have a good time and maybe do the obstacles. You set your own pace and challenge level," says Corcoran.

There are two ways you can sign up to run. You can sign up as an individual or you can sign up for the corporate team challenge and run with your co-workers.

The cost to run is $70 before August 15th or $75 the day of the race. The Mudman 5K takes place on August 20th beginning at 10:00 a.m.
