With first string quarterback Sam Bradford out for the season with a torn ACL in his knee, the St. Louis Rams reached out to Brett Favre and offered the aging QB the job. Favre reportedly declined the offer, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Favre, 44, last played in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings in 2010. He has been coaching high school football since then, but his agent Bus Cook recently told reporters Favre was in the best shape of his life.

Stay tuned. Knowing Favre like we do here in Minnesota, this likely is not the end of the story.
