The Riots in London have continued now for three straight nights, taking lives and destroying cities. Early this morning a fire (suspected to have been caused by rioters) claimed the only Sony distribution warehouse in the country.

I understand this pales in comparison to the lives being lost and destroyed as a result of the riots in the United Kingdom.

The Sony warehouse was the supplier of CD's and DVD's for all of the UK. Now that the building, and its inventory have been destroyed there will be a major impact on independent labels since the product obviously can't be distributed.

Rollingstone.com reports that the full extent of damage is not yet known since it is impossible to enter the remains of the building right now.
