Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Other Awards [VIDEO]

Bruce Springsteen is in The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame, now a big part of his family will join him in 2014.

The E Street Band will be inducted April 10th in The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame for Musical Excellence.

Also on the docket will be The Ahmet Ertegun Awards (non performer award) for recognition of longtime managers of The Rolling Stones, Andrew Loog Oldham and The Beatles, Brian Epstein. The Ahmet Ertegun Awards were named after founder of Atlantic Records.

The 29th Rock Hall induction ceremony is April 10, 2014 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn NY. It will be broadcast in May on HBO.

Classic rock bands Yes, The Zombies, Deep Purple, and Paul Butterfield Blues Band were nominated and that's as far as it went, maybe next year they get in.

My take on the whole thing is that bands are getting to the point they could careless if in or not. It's no longer The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame when artists like N.W.A. and L.L. Cool J and Chic are possibilities. Change the name to The Music Hall of Fame. It should be only Rock N' Roll and that's the way I like it.
