Roger Daltrey has a new title today as he is being named as a patron of a large music centered college.

Not only has Roger Daltrey won a Golden Globe Award and a couple of Grammys, plus he has been inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and granted a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, he is now a Patron of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and the first to be named as Patron.

Roger says that he is "delighted" with the honor and heaped praise on the school, saying that the school is "a fantastic platform for talented young musicians" and that the students are "given the opportunity to thrive and grow within the music industry. Roger adds that he's a big fan of new music and that the school is helping to develop and nurture future talent organically and successfully."

BIMM Principal Vaseema Hamilton was equally as thrilled with his appointment saying that Roger will mentor these kids and provide them with inspiration.

From Soho down to Brighton, he'll inspire them all, I'm sure.
