After threats and some initial controversy over using the Star of David imagery in his shows, Roger Waters played a show in Germany and it went on without incident.

It seems like the hoopla has died down over Roger Waters’ The Wall performances as he played a show in Dusseldorf, Germany over the weekend and the show went on without incident.

Some German Jewish groups were calling for a boycott of Roger Waters and his show after they discovered that he was using the Star of David on an inflatable pig. Many called him an anti-Semite and twice Roger took to his Facebook page to defend himself against those allegations, and apparently it worked because 35 thousand fans showed up for the show.

Friday was also Roger’s 70th birthday and according to a fan website, he was trying to sing Mother, and he was overtaken by the crowd singing Happy Birthday. Twice. So, it sounds like there aren’t too many hard feelings.
