The Twins cruised to a 13-0 win over the Oakland Athletics Wednesday night at Target Field. Minnesota is now 15-13 on the season and just 2.5 games out of first place in the American League Central.

Eddie Rosario hit a home run in his first-ever MLB at-bat to give the Twins a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Rosario is the sixth Twin to hit a home run in his first at bat (Renick, McKay, Gaetti, Andre David and Luke Hughes), and only the 29th in MLB history to do so on the first pitch of a career.

Eduardo Escobar had a three hit game including a home run while knocking in five runs, and Danny Santana was 3-4 with three runs scored.

Kyle Gibson picked up the win for the Twins, allowing just four hits and two walks while shutting out the A's for six innings.

The Twins wrap up their series with the Athletics, and the homestand, with a 12:10 game Thursday at Target Field. Pregame coverage on AM 1240 begins at 11:30 AM.
