Rox Get Walk-off Win Over Waterloo

The St. Cloud Rox earned a walk-off win over Waterloo 11-10 in 11 innings Thursday night.  Nick Tanielu singled home Andy Henkemeyer in the 11th inning to give the Rox their 8th straight win.  Henkemeyer went 4-6 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs, Erik Kozel went 4-6 with 2 RBIs and Chris Paul was 3-7 with 2 runs scored for the Rox.

Adam Maxon blew the save by giving up 3 runs in the 9th inning but threw a scoreless 10th and 11th inning to get the win.  The Rox are 20-13 in the 2nd half of the season and remain 1/2 game back of Willmar for first place in the 2nd half North Division standings.  Willmar kept pace with a 8-3 win over Mankato Thursday night.

The Rox host Waterloo again tonight in their final regular season home game at 7:05 tonight, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35.  It’s Fan Appreciation Night at the ballpark tonight with fireworks after the game.
