Rox Hold Off Eau Claire Express For 3-2 Win

EAU CLAIRE - The St. Cloud Rox survived a ninth inning rally to down the Eau Claire express 3-2 on Saturday night.

The Rox picked up the early lead when Boo Vazquez hit a two-run double in the third.

The Rox held the Express scoreless until the last frame. Eau Claire managed to score two runs off a couple of singles with two outs in the inning. With the bases loaded, Trevor Charpie eventually recorded the final out on the mound to secure the victory for St. Cloud.

Reese Gregory made his fourth start of the season for the Rox, allowing just one hit in his 6.1 innings of work.

The Rox improve to 14-11 this year with the win. They now head to Waterloo for a two game series. Game one is set for 3:35 p.m. on Sunday (3:05 pregame on AM1390 The Fan).
