Rox With Three Players In Tonight’s NWL All Star Game

The St. Cloud Rox will be well-represented at Tuesday night's Northwoods League All Star Game (7:25, AM 1390 The Fan/1390thefan.com). Pitchers Reese Gregory and Eric Nyquist will join catcher Adam Martin in the game, held in Eau Claire.

Gregory (St. Cloud State) is a former St. Cloud Apollo standout who set the career saves record at SCSU in 2013 in his first year with the team. The sidearming righty is 2-2 this season with a 3.49 ERA. Gregory has notched 29 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched.

Nyquist (Mercer) is 2-3 on the season but has a tidy 2.81 ERA. The Alpharetta, Georgia native has struck out 31 batters against just 10 walks so far on the season with the Rox.

Martin (Western Carolina) is tied for second in the Northwoods League in home runs with ten on the season to go with a robust .323 batting average. The catcher has driven in 40 runs this season. He is also scheduled to take part in Tuesday's Home Run Derby before the game.
