ROYALTON - Homecoming is always a special time for people living in small-town America. For those in Royalton, this year was special for an entirely different reason.

Students at Royalton High School used their homecoming football game and other events throughout the week to raise money for a special member of their community, 2nd Grader Kieran Kloss.

Kloss, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was just four, was the special guest for the coin-toss. The shy Kloss was visibly excited to be out on the field surrounded by the community that has supported her and her family.

Keiran's mother, Sarah Kloss, says the generous students represent the support of the entire community.

"We are so blessed to live in this community. It's the [students], the teachers, it's our friends it's our family. Everyone has been so supportive."

Outside of the football game, the volleyball team and cross-country teams helped raise money with different fundraisers throughout homecoming week.

Kloss and her husband Mike say they could not be more thankful for all the love Royalton has shown them.

"It's absolutely amazing. Words can't say how awesome it is."

To top off the night Royalton won their homecoming football game 46-44 over Kimball.
