It’s not the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but it will have to do for now. Rush will be honored by musical instrument retailer Guitar Center with a place on their RockWalk. The induction ceremony, which is by invitation only, will take place Nov. 20.

The Canadian trio will place their hands in cement outside the chain’s flagship location on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for passers-by to gawk at for all eternity. Also to be honored by Guitar Center are alternative rocker Alanis Morisette and Latin group Mana, both of whom will be inducted on separate dates.

The RockWalk was created in 1985 by Guitar Center to honor musicians and innovators who have, as their press release states, “made a significant impact and lasting contribution to the growth and evolution of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues and R&B.” Unlike other, similar honors, recipients are chosen solely by past inductees, which include Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder and Martin Guitar founder C.F. Martin, III.

Rush begin their ‘Clockwork Angels’ tour on Sept. 7 in Manchester, N.H. Their induction ceremony coincides with Rush’s performance at L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheater on Nov. 19.
