Rush ‘Lullaby’ Record Hits Stores Today

Rush fans with little ones can now literally rock their babies to sleep with their new album.

Well, it’s not a “real” Rush record, but it is pretty cool as Rush’s music has gotten the lullaby treatment.

The album takes some of Rush’s biggest songs and waters down the huge guitars and thundering drums and trades them in for more “soothing” instruments like mellotrons and bells. According to the website of the company that makes these records “The volume is turned down from an 11 to a two.”. Some of the songs on the 12 track album are A Farewell to Kings, Closer to the Heart, Fly By Night, Limelight and Tom Sawyer.

Other bands that have gotten the lullaby treatment include Metallica, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Rush is on store shelves today.
