Santana Releases New Record; Concert Dates

Carlos Santana is back with a new album, tour, Vegas stint and TV appearance. 

Carlos Santana is going to be a busy boy this spring and summer!

Santana fans will be pleased to know that his new instrumental album called Shape Shifter is due on store shelves May 15 and to promote it, he has a number of things on the schedule. First up is Dancing With the Stars. He will be the musical guest next week and that airs on ABC at 7pm our time. I remember learning how to salsa dance and Santana was pretty much the only thing I could stand, so that should be a fun episode to watch.

Next, he's heading to Las Vegas for several shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. If you've never been to the House of Blues and are headed to Vegas, I highly suggest putting it on your list. You can do a three for one and stop in at their gigantic aquarium which is insane, by the way. I've been to the Sea Life Aquarium at Mall of America and though that's pretty cool, the aquarium at Mandalay Bay tops it. Next, if you need quick eats, grab a bite to eat at the Burger Bar. You won't regret it. I promise.

Finally, (and I saved the best for last here) Santana just announced he is kicking off his North American Tour at Grand Casino Hinckley! That show takes place July 7. No ticketing information has been announced yet, but keep an ear tuned to The Loon. As soon as we hear anything, we'll pass it along. While you're at Grand Casino, make sure you eat at The Winds. It's delicious and absolutely beautiful.
