Carlos Santana is back with a new album and tour and he's headed to your TV to promote it.

Santana's new album Shape Shifter comes out today and it's a record of mostly instrumentals. He tells MusicRadar.com that it's more about the stories than it is about the songs and that it was more of a "close your eyes and play" than sitting down to write a song with lyrics.

You can catch Santana on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight at 10:35 on NBC. He's the musical guest. David Hasselhoff is also on the show tonight. Think The Hoff will join the band? Santana is also headed to Grand Casino Hinckley on July 7. I think that show will be Hoff-free, but Santana and The Allman Brothers Band will be co-headlining some of the shows this summer.

Meanwhile, Gregg Allman will be on Conan tonight on TBS talking about his new memoir, My Cross to Bear.
