SARTELL -- Authorities are warning you of several recent mail thefts in Sartell.

Sartell Police Chief Jim Hughes says on Saturday mail from about 14 different homes was found and turned into the police. In most instances the mail had been opened.

The mail was taken in the area of the 300 block of Avalon Court up through the 200 block of 23rd Avenue North in Sartell.

Hughes says it is unknown if the suspects were doing this to obtain personal information or hoping to find money/gift cards that are often sent this time of year.

The owners of the thefts have been notified and no suspects have been identified at this time.

Police are reminding you to check your mailbox daily and to report any suspicious activity.
