SAUK RAPIDS  - Viking Land Harley-Davidson held a community celebration to recognize the hard work of our first responders.

The event was in the parking lot of Viking Land on Saturday afternoon. There was a bunch of activities for kids and adults. More importantly people were able to talk face to face with those who keep us safe.

One of the organizers of the event was Aggie Peterson. She says the event is meant to recognize all first responders.

"We decided to take a new spin and invite not only officers but all first responders."

St. Cloud Police Department, Foley Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance were just a few of the first responders represented at the event.

St. Cloud Police officers Dan Mcclure and Janelle Haas say they are grateful to have the community show their appreciation.

"It really means a lot to see that support from everyone. It's just been outstanding."

All proceeds from the event will be donated to different organization around the area. Organizers hope to make this an annual event.
