ST. CLOUD -- College athletes are inspiring kids through sports. St. Cloud State University sports teams have partnered with the Community Outpost House and local law enforcement to be a role model for kids.

SCSU Men's Hockey Player Robby Jackson says everyone is there to have fun.

"A program like this may keep kids on the right path in life, make their day, or just killing time before they have to go to dinner. Anything helps."

Jackson says the program is also a great way for kids to meet them and local police officers.

"Some of these kids might need role models, and even if it's just for a day, it still puts a smile on their face and creates lasting relationships."

Athletes will be over at the COP House on the South side of St. Cloud every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
