SCSU Football Picked 4th; Klaphake and Moro Receive Honors

The St. Cloud State football team was picked 4th in the NSIC preseason coaches poll and 2nd in the North Division behind only Minnesota-Duluth.  The Huskies received 1 first place vote overall and 2 first place votes in the North Division.

Two of the top returners for the Huskies are quarterback Phil Klaphake and defensive back Jack Moro.  Klaphake has been voted as the preseason NSIC North Division offensive player of the year while Moro is the preseason NSIC North Division defensive player of the year.

The SCSU football season starts when practice begins August 14 and the first SCSU game in 2013 is at Southwest Minnesota State September 7 at 6pm.
