The St. Cloud State men's hockey team remains in first place after a weekend split with WCHA rival Colorado College.

The St. Cloud State Huskies split a pair of games with Colorado College in Colorado Springs this weekend. The Tigers prevailed 4-3 on Friday with the Huskies getting revenge in a 5-2 win Saturday.

SCSU outshot CC 43-29 in the Friday night tilt but came away with the loss. Jonny Brodzinski continued his remarkable freshman season with a pair of goals and Andrew Prochno scored in the loss.

On Saturday the Tigers struck first early in the opening period before SCSU rattled off four straight goals. Brodzinski scored his 17th of the season to tie the game at one, followed by goals from freshman Kalle Kosilla (13), junior Cory Thorson (9), senior Ben Hanowski (13) and Joey Benik (2).

St. Cloud State is in first place in the WCHA with a record of 16-7-1 and four games remaining on the schedule. The Huskies will host Michigan Tech this weekend then head to Madison for a series with the Badgers.

Minnesota trails SCSU by two points with Nebraska-Omaha and North Dakota each behind by the Huskies by three points.
