SCSU Hockey Routs #13 Denver 5-1

The St. Cloud State men’s hockey team earned a split in the weekend series with #13 Denver 5-1 Saturday night.  Nick Jensen scored a hat trick for the Huskies.  This was the first time since 1991 when a defenseman scored a hat trick for SCSU.  Bret Hedican did it then.  Cory Thorson and Brooks Bertsch each scored a goal for the Huskies and Jared Festler added 2 assists.

SCSU improves to 7-9-4 overall and 5-6-3 in the WCHA.  The Huskies will host Western Michigan on December 29-30.
