ST. CLOUD -- Getting new information out quickly, providing counseling services to students and putting safety first, St. Cloud State University is doing everything they can to help students handle the news of a missing student.

St. Cloud State Junior, 21-year-old Jesse Dady disappeared early Saturday morning. He was last seen walking along 5th Avenue North in downtown St. Cloud.

SCSU Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, Adam Hammer says the University is focused on helping authorities in any way they can.

"We're all very focused on doing what everything we can in coordination with the police department, fire department and Stearns County Sheriff's department as the search continues. We've been using our broadcasting communications channels to campus, to faculty and staff, to all of our students and doing what we can to inform the campus community of what we know and also asking anyone with information to reach out and contact the police department."

Hammer says the safety and health of SCSU students is always a top priority.  For those who need a safe place to talk, the university is making accommodations.

"Through all of this we've also reached out to all of our students, faculty and staff, and also to the family, any friends that we've been able to identify, as well as Jesse's roommates to offer counseling and psychological services through our campus resources."

Since Dady's disappearance authorities have been searching the Mississippi River near Hester Park. St. Cloud Police are also trying to identify the driver of a car that was seen on surveillance video, around the same time, near the location where Dady was last seen.

If you have any information on the incident, call the St. Cloud Police Department.
