Loosely based on his own life, St. Paul resident F. Scott Fitzgerald recounts the story of would-be writer Nick Carraway leaving the Midwest for New York City in the spring of 1922. Loose morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings seep into his life and surroundings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to mysterious, party-boy millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. Nick is quickly drawn into their world of the super rich, with their illusions, loves and deceits.
