WAITE PARK - A semi driver was hurt in a crash on Interstate 94 Sunday night. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 9:30 on eastbound I-94 in St. Joseph Township near Waite Park.

A semi driven by 32-year-old Charles Matthewson of Las Vegas hit a patch of ice, lost control, and went through the bridge guard rail. The semi continued down the embankment, rolling the semi, and the empty tanker trailer on its driver side into the Sauk River.

Matthewson was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
