ELK RIVER -- A member of the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office will be carrying the Flame of Hope during next month's Special Olympics World Games.

Investigative Sergeant Tim Jeanetta will represent Minnesota in the 2017 Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg Team for the Special Olympics World Games in Austria.

The 23-year veteran with the Sheriff's Office started volunteering with the Special Olympics in 1995 and has coordinated several fundraising efforts for the Special Olympics, such as Tip-a-Cop, Polar Plunges and more.

The law enforcement final leg team will not only been running for ten days through many cities, towns and communities throughout Austria.

But spreading the mission of the Special Olympics movement throughout the world.

Jeanetta will be in Austria from March 7th to 20th.
