The fire was reported on Saturday evening in Albany Township. The trail was temporarily closed, but the bridge has been inspected and its been determined to be safe to use.

Damage to the bridge was contained to the wooden planks. The bridge is supported by large steel beams, strong enough to hold trains, and those beams were not damaged. The rest of the bridge, which is cement and asphalt, is in fine shape as well.
