Slash Doesn’t Want to Answer Interview Questions About His Divorce

Slash has always done his best to let the music do the talking, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that he isn't interested in discussing his divorce with reporters.

Of course, that doesn't mean the subject isn't going to come up during interviews — as it did during Slash's recent conversation with The New Zealand Herald, during which the guitarist was put on the spot about the end of his 13-year marriage and responded with the perfect blend of good manners and rock 'n' roll attitude.

"I can't be bothered to f---in' explain myself to people," Slash bristled before adding, "I probably have moments of self-analyzation on a regular basis. I've got stuff to deal with and I've got a family and — what's the word? I've got things to deal with, just like anybody else. So I have to look at myself and look at how I'm dealing with that ... Navigate is the word I'm looking for."

Pressed for further details regarding how his "navigating" was going, Slash said, "It's pretty good. It's hard for me because ... I don't like to talk. You asked me questions and I'm answering them, but in general I'm pretty quiet, so I don't express a lot of things to a lot of people, so they don't know where I'm coming from."

As previously reported, Slash's ex-wife, Perla Hudson, recently told reporters that the proceedings were "pretty amicable" and added, "We’re best friends, we’re business partners, and we just wanna do what’s best for our kids."
