St. Cloud Area Gas Prices Keep Dropping In Time For Thanksgiving Travels
Just when we'd expect gas prices to go up over the holidays, they are doing just the opposite. You may have seen a gallon as low as $1.99 in this area!
The reason for the drop in prices are partly the cost of the crude oil dropping over $30 per barrel since late June this year. Another reason for the price drop is suppliers switch to a less expensive winter-blend gasoline as well as the demand for fuel is usually less in the fall and early winter.
I can't see us ever seeing the price per gallon below $1.00, but I'll gladly take anything under $2.00 per gallon. It makes it easier to decide to take a couple road trips that I normally wouldn't take.
Here's the area's lowest gas prices. Keep in mind you can always see area gas prices on our website under the "News" tab.
