ST. CLOUD -- Summer is here again which means the return of Summertime by George, the weekly summer concert series that has become a destination for thousands of people in the St. Cloud area.

"I like it," says Nancy Salomon, who was at her first Summertime by George. "Lots of nice people and good food trucks."

Thousands of other people enjoyed the food trucks, festivities and live music provided by Transit Authority.

"It was pretty cool, the live music was nice here [on] the big stage," says Daniel Missaghi of St. Cloud.

The 12-week Summertime by George series is entering its fifth year, and Mayor Dave Kleis says he's glad to see it become more and more successful each year.

"No one would've expected this [five years ago]," Kleis says. "We talked about it and thought 'maybe 1,000-2,000 people' a week."

"[But] to have 10,000-15,000 people to show up on some of these nights on a regular basis is just great to see."

Summertime by George is free to the public and held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. every Wednesday into August. Next week will feature music by Arch Allies.
