ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud man was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly hit, choked and pushed his girlfriend.

At about 2:00 p.m. the Benton County Sheriff's Office received a call for a domestic assault that happened in the 200 block of 190th Avenue Northeast in Glendorado Township, Princeton.

A St. Cloud Police officer reported that he made contact with a woman at a St. Cloud business who said she was assaulted at that address earlier.

She said that she her boyfriend, 35-year-old Jeremiah Holmberg of St. Cloud, were arguing earlier that day. Holmberg then allegedly hit, choked and kicked her and then pushed her to the ground.

Deputies noted that the injuries on the victim that were consistent with her story. Authorities also received statements from witnesses to the assault that were consistent with the victim's allegations.

Deputies asked other law enforcement agencies for help in finding Holmberg.

At about 6:30 p.m., Sartell Police reported that they found and arrested Holmberg. He was taken to Benton County Jail where he is awaiting his first court appearance.
