ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud Police and St. Cloud State University Campus Police Services stopped over 40 vehicles in the southside neighborhoods on Tuesday as part of a proactive pedestrian safety campaign.

Between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., police stopped 41 vehicles and issued 15 citations. Citations included:

  • Five stop sign violations
  • Two crosswalk violations
  • Three driving after revocation
  • Two expired tabs
  • Two no proof of insurance
  • One driving after suspension

As part of the campaign, police also gave away lanyards and information cards with safe walking tips to over 150 pedestrians, mostly SCSU students.

Police say they will continue proactive traffic enforcement in the area through the year.
